LUMINA CHAT Terms of Service

Effective October 11, 2026. These terms apply to:

  • LUMINA CHAT, a Twitch extension made by ViperVex ("we");
  • the LUMINA CHAT overlay when it is connected to it;
  • the service behind them.

By installing or using LUMINA CHAT you agree to these terms.

1. What LUMINA CHAT is

LUMINA CHAT has two parts:

  • a chat overlay for OBS and StreamElements, which draws each chat message in its own designed panel;
  • this Twitch extension, which has:
    • a Configure page to design the overlay;
    • a viewer panel with community ranks;
    • a live configuration view.

It depends on Twitch and on the LUMINA service.

2. Twitch's rules come first

You must follow Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when using LUMINA CHAT. If these terms conflict with Twitch's, Twitch's apply.

3. Streamers

You are responsible for the text you enter, such as level titles and highlight words, and must not use it for anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual or misleading.

Keep your overlay link to yourself. Anyone who has it can view your overlay's public look and could send attendance reports for your channel. If it leaks, replace it on the Configure page.

4. The free version and the full version

Free version: every Twitch channel may install LUMINA CHAT and use it at no cost. It includes:

  • the BLOOMÉ theme with every customisation;
  • viewer profiles and ranks;
  • the live configuration view;
  • live sync to the overlay.

Full version: adds the NOCTURNE, NEON CIRCUIT and IRONCLAD themes.

  • Price and where to buy: it is bought from ViperVex outside Twitch, as part of a LUMINA CHAT purchase, at the price shown in the shop at the time of purchase. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
  • One channel per purchase: one purchase activates one Twitch channel, named by you at checkout. The license is tied to that Twitch account, so it survives a channel rename. It is not transferable or resellable; ask us if you need it moved.
  • Activation: done by hand, normally within 24 hours of your order. Until then the channel runs the free version. Once activated, the full version appears by itself within a few minutes, and your settings stay as they are.
  • "Lifetime": means for as long as we offer LUMINA CHAT and Twitch continues to support extensions. It is not a promise that Twitch, or any third party we depend on, will exist forever (see section 8).
  • Nothing is sold inside the extension: no Bits, no Twitch purchase flow, and your viewers are never shown a price or a purchase link.

5. Payment, refunds and cancellation

Payment is handled by the store you buy from (our own shop, or a marketplace such as Etsy). We never see or store your card details.

Refunds:

  • If LUMINA CHAT does not work on your channel and we cannot fix it, tell us within 30 days of your order and we will refund you in full.
  • We may also refund at our discretion in other cases.
  • If a refund or chargeback is made, the full version is switched off on that channel. Nothing is deleted: the channel returns to the free version, and its saved theme returns if it is activated again.
  • Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, that right applies and nothing here limits it.

6. Viewers

Use LUMINA CHAT as intended. Do not automate actions, abuse rate limits, or try to access other viewers' or channels' data. Levels, titles and achievements have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything.

7. Our content

LUMINA CHAT, its themes, artwork and text are owned by ViperVex. Streamers may show LUMINA CHAT on their channel and use its screenshots to promote their own channel. Nothing else is licensed.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep LUMINA CHAT available but cannot promise it will always be online or error-free. We may update, change or retire features. If LUMINA CHAT is retired, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

9. Suspension

We may suspend LUMINA CHAT on a channel, or turn off an overlay link, if it breaks these terms or Twitch's rules.

10. Disclaimer and liability

LUMINA CHAT is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, ViperVex is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of settings or data, arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

11. Privacy

How data is handled is described in the LUMINA CHAT Privacy Policy.

12. Changes and contact
