Geode Crack-Open Widget | Twitch Channel Points Overlay
A crystal geode sits on your scene, trembling. Every strike from chat — a channel-point redeem, a bits cheer, a !strike — cracks it a little further. Fractures spread, the shell shudders, and then it splits open and a gem is revealed inside.
The gem goes into your channel's museum, and the next geode begins to form.
Why you'll love it
- It is a shared object, not a one-off alert. Everyone's strikes go into the same shell, so cracking it becomes something the room does together over a stream.
- There's a reason to keep going. Fourteen gems in a rarity table means chat is hoping for the good one, and the museum shows which slots are still empty.
- Nothing can 404. The faceted shell, all 14 gems, the crystal-nest pedestal and the museum are drawn in-widget as vector SVG. No image files at all — it stays crisp at any scale.
- No audio files either. Every sound is generated live with the Web Audio API, from the strike thock and its pitch ladder to the fracture shimmer and the bloom of the split. A missing file can never break it.
What chat can do
Strike with a channel-point reward, with bits (tiered, so a bigger cheer hits harder), or with a chat command. Set the reward names, the damage mode, the critical-hit chance and per-viewer cooldowns yourself. Avatars are fetched live, with a generated monogram if a viewer has none.
Gems, rarity and the museum
A 14-gem rarity table you control, a pity setting so long droughts resolve, an optional Channel Gem you design yourself, and a museum display that fills as gems are found. Shells, veins, fractures and the split are procedural and seeded, so no two crack the same way.
Six setting tabs, no code
Strikes (reward names, damage mode, crit %, cooldowns, bits tiers) · Geode (position, scale, tremble, shell weights, split timing, leak hint) · Gems & Museum · Design (theme, per-element colours, layout, safe and performance modes) · Sound (master volume and a per-beat mixer with previews) · Data (export/import your look, reconnect chat, test reel, resets)
Everything applies live and saves itself. The gear is hover-reveal only and leaves zero trace on your broadcast — or open it with the S or P key, or ?edit=1 while setting up.
One setup detail we won't let you trip over
On StreamElements, a channel-point reward only reaches a custom widget if you tick “Require viewer to enter text” on that reward in Twitch. The prompt can be left blank — viewers just press enter. That is a StreamElements rule, not a setting in this widget, and without it the redeem never arrives. The chat command and bits need no such setup. The guide says this in step 3 rather than leaving you to find it.
Compatibility
Runs as a browser source in OBS Studio and Streamlabs Desktop, or as a StreamElements Custom Widget from four files. Test channel points with a real redeem on your live overlay — the SE editor preview does not fire them.
What's included
A twelve-folder package: widget files, quick install, OBS Studio setup, StreamElements setup, Streamlabs Desktop setup, assets notes, audio notes, fonts, customisation, the full tutorial, troubleshooting and backups.
Digital delivery
This is a digital download. Nothing is shipped — you receive the complete widget package as a ZIP after purchase.
Important notes
One widget, not a bundle. Requires OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop or StreamElements to display. Gems are a visual collection inside the widget — they are not Twitch items, cannot be traded, and cannot be exchanged for anything of value. Rarity is whatever you set the table to.
This is a digital product. Nothing is shipped. Your download link appears as soon as payment clears, and it is emailed to you as well.
