VIEWERLINK — Terms of Service

These terms cover the VIEWERLINK Twitch Extension, made by ViperVex.

1. What this is

VIEWERLINK is a Twitch Extension a broadcaster can add to their channel. It gives viewers a community guide, activities to take part in, shared goals, roles and a history of the channel. Using it means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

2. Twitch comes first

VIEWERLINK runs inside Twitch and is also governed by the Twitch Terms of Service and the Twitch Community Guidelines. Where these terms and Twitch's conflict, Twitch's apply. VIEWERLINK is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch Interactive, Inc.

3. Your content

Some activities let a viewer submit text — a question, an answer to a prompt, a guess. You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting it you allow the broadcaster of that channel, their moderators, and other viewers of that channel to see it within the extension, and you allow us to store and display it for that purpose.

Do not submit anything that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, someone else's private information, or that breaks the Twitch Community Guidelines.

4. Moderation

By default, text a viewer submits is held for review and is not shown to other viewers until the broadcaster or one of their moderators approves it. A broadcaster may instead choose to publish submissions immediately; in that case they and their moderators can still remove anything afterwards. A broadcaster may also refuse particular words, and may block a viewer from submitting, which hides what that viewer had already published.

We may also remove content or suspend a channel's use of VIEWERLINK where it is required by law, by Twitch, or to stop clear abuse.

5. If you run a channel

You are responsible for what your channel publishes through VIEWERLINK — the guide you write, the activities you run, the announcements you post, and the viewer submissions you approve. Moderate your channel's submissions, and keep your own use within Twitch's rules.

6. Fair use of the service

Do not attempt to break, overload, or work around the extension: no automated participation, no attempts to inflate goals or tallies, no probing for security weaknesses without permission, and no use of the backend other than through the extension itself.

7. Availability

VIEWERLINK is provided as it is, without any warranty. We do not promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change removes something a channel depends on, we will say so on this page before it happens whenever that is possible.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, ViperVex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using VIEWERLINK, including lost viewers, lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending it

A broadcaster can remove VIEWERLINK from their channel at any time from the Twitch Extensions manager. A viewer can simply stop using it. We may end access for a channel that breaks these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the updated terms are published here. Continuing to use VIEWERLINK after that means accepting them.
